Barcelona star returns early ahead of showdown talks with Hansi Flick | OneFootball

Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen reported back to the club’s training base ahead of schedule on Thursday morning.

This comes ahead of a crunch incoming round of talks between the shot-stopper and fellow countryman Hansi Flick.

It is of course common knowledge at this point that Ter Stegen is no longer part of the plans at Barcelona moving forward.

With Joan García signed, and Wojciech Szczęsny tied down for the next two seasons, those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou are of the opinion that a player of Ter Stegen’s calibre, reflected by a significant wage packet, is no longer required at the club.

This message is expected to be passed on to the German himself over the days ahead.

Manager Hansi Flick will be tasked with as much, with the sit down which Barca’s headmaster is no doubt dreading having moved a step closer on Thursday.

As revealed by Mundo Deportivo:

‘Big news from the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. Marc-André ter Stegen reported to the Sant Joan Despí stadium at 11:06 a.m, three days before his call-up date with the rest of the squad.’
