Another member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was on Thursday spotted back at the club’s training ground ahead of schedule.

The player in question? Gavi.

Youngster Gavi is for his part of course fresh off something of a hit-and-miss campaign in 2024/25.

After spending the opening half of the term recovering full fitness following a long-term spell on the sidelines, the Spanish international then floated in and out of Hansi Flick’s XI.

When all options were fit and available for selection, though, Gavi for the most part found himself on the bench.

Known for his determination and never-say-die attitude, it should in turn not come as a major surprise to hear of the 20-year-old kickstarting preparations for the new season ahead of time.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, Gavi reported for training at Barcelona’s Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper base on Thursday morning.

Despite the Blaugrana’s pre-season technically not being set to begin until Sunday, the midfielder was joined at the ground by the likes of Gerard Martín, Joan García and Marc-André ter Stegen.
