The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have drawn up a rough draw surrounding when they would ideally like to reintroduce midfielder Gavi to competitive action.
The name of youngster Gavi has of course positioned itself back front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last couple of weeks.
This comes after the 20-year-old was at long last given the green light to rejoin group activities with the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.
Gavi has been sidelined since late 2023, after suffering a torn ACL whilst lining out for Spain at international level.
Recent weeks have seen the midfield starlet take significant steps forward in his recovery, however, now considered as increasingly close to marking his comeback.
So, just when could as much come about?
As alluded to above, on Wednesday, an insight into precisely that has been provided.
The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, and points towards a four-game stretch between late-October and early-November as the time period in question.
The fixture list begins with a La Liga meeting with Sevilla (October 20th), and ends with another domestic outing, against rivals Espanyol (November 2nd/3rd).
In between come a pair of altogether more high-profile outings, first against Bayern Munich (October 23rd), and then Real Madrid (October 26th/27th).
The Barcelona coaching staff are in no rush to get Gavi back on the pitch, but, if the latest signals are anything to go by, such a development is likely to come during this specific stretch.
