The hits just keep on coming at FC Barcelona even when there is no club football going on it seems. Injuries have been a constant headache for the Catalan club this season, and those problems seem to just keep shifting from one player to another. Unfortunately, however, even the international break did not give Barcelona a break.
Previously, the likes of Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Dani Olmo, and several others have been sidelined at some point this season. However, as most of them have returned, it would seem that Barça’s injury celebrations have now taken yet another hit.
As revealed by the official club sources, 22-year-old Spanish forward Ansu Fati has suffered an injury in the latest training session. Specifically, the La Masia talent suffered a right hamstring injury, and it is one that the club suspects will keep him sidelined for approximately four weeks.
This will come as a big blow both to the player and the club itself. For much of the last few years, Ansu Fati has been constantly dealing with injuries here and there. In fact, these injuries have ultimately ended up taking away the opportunities that could have seen Fati rise high to the very top of the footballing world.
Instead, the Spanish youngster has now been completely stripped of that once-in-a-lifetime talent that he once possessed, and what is left is simply a shell of what was once another player altogether. Unfortunately for Fati, his future and his days on the football pitch seem cloudy, especially at Barcelona.
There are several reports claiming that the player could be on his way out of the club in January, and things are looking difficult if he does end up wanting to stay. This injury is only the latest in a long line of such physical issues, and no matter how much the club tries or wherever he plays, they always seem to follow him around.
