Barcelona chief Deco holds talks with super agent Mendes: 4 players under discussion | OneFootball

Barcelona sporting director Deco on Monday held a fresh round of discussions with super agent Jorge Mendes.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Deco was for his part spotted boarding a flight back to his home country of Portugal late last week.

As much gave rise to inevitable chatter surrounding the reasons behind his trip, albeit with the former midfielder, when drawn on as much by the media, having been adamant that he was simply travelling to Porto to visit his family.

As alluded to above, though, on Monday, Deco’s statements have been disputed.

This comes amid claims that the Portuguese, in fact, today held a meeting with agent Jorge Mendes.

As per Sport:

‘We were able to confirm that the Portuguese-Brazilian met with Jorge Mendes in the last few hours to update him on the various open cases.’

The ‘open cases’ at hand are understood to surround, chiefly, a quartet of players whose affairs are handled by Mendes.

Two are already on the books of Barcelona, in the form of returning loanee Ansu Fati, and youngster Guille Fernández.

Also likely to have been under discussion, though, were the situations of two players whom the Blaugrana are eager to bring back for next season, in João Félix, and João Cancelo.
