Barcelona are growing restless as they wait for Fermin Lopez to make his final decision on Chelsea’s approach, claims a report from SPORT.
The 22-year-old midfielder has not communicated anything to the club since last week, when the interest from Stamford Bridge first became public.
The outlet assures that after the match against Rayo Vallecano, Fermin remained in Madrid to join up with Spain’s national team, but he has stayed silent on his future.
The news of Chelsea’s move for Fermin hit Barcelona hard. Inside the dressing room and in the boardroom, the story spread like wildfire.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has personally spoken to the player, assuring him that he would be a central figure in his project.
The London club also presented him with a highly attractive financial package, which only increased doubts about his future. For now, Barcelona continue to wait for an official written offer.

Fermin has spent the past few days reflecting on whether to accept the challenge of Premier League football or remain at the Camp Nou, where he has been working to establish himself under Hansi Flick.
Barcelona’s stance has been clear from the start. While Chelsea are reportedly willing to pay around €58 million, the Catalan giants believe the figure is far too low.
They will only consider a deal if the English club raise their offer to €90 million or if Fermin himself tells the club he wants to leave.
Deco gave the player’s camp a 48-hour window to clarify his position, but that period expired on Sunday during Barça’s clash with Rayo.
Still, the midfielder has given no response, leaving the club in a state of uncertainty.
Flick has spoken directly with Fermin to reassure him of his importance in the squad, while senior teammates have encouraged him to continue his growth at Barcelona.
For now, though, Barcelona are waiting for the midfielder to finally break his silence and bring the saga to an end.
