Atletico Madrid continue showing strong interest in 24-year-old Chelsea star | OneFootball

Atletico Madrid intend on being very busy during the summer transfer window, and with a deal all-but wrapped up for Robin Le Normand, they will be moving on to other targets. A new midfielder is wanted by Diego Simeone, and several names have been linked over the last few weeks.

One of those that Atleti are interested in is Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher, who could be heading towards the exit door in West London following the signing of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City. The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a summer departure, and the Spanish capital could be his next destination.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano (via MD), Atleti are the team showing the most interest in Gallagher, who is currently with England at Euro 2024. He’s currently valued at €40m, but given that his Chelsea contract expires next summer, his price could come down over the next few weeks.

It’s likely that talks between Atletico Madrid and Chelsea/Gallagher will take part later in the summer, once Euro 2024 is over. This situation will be one to keep an eye on.
