Aston Villa travel to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-finals tonight.
Unai Emery is up against his former side in the French capital, as Villa look for a positive first-leg result in their bid to reach the last four of Europe’s top competition for the first time since 1982.
The Villans head into the contest in good form, after beating Nottingham Forest at the weekend to make it seven straight wins in all competitions.
Villa eased past Club Brugge in the previous round but face a formidable challenge against the French champions. PSG have emerged as one of the favourites for the trophy, after eliminating Premier League leaders Liverpool in the last 16.
At the weekend, PSG wrapped up the Ligue 1 title with six games to spare.
Marco Asensio is free to feature with UEFA rules permitting loan players to play against their parent clubs. Asensio joined Villa on loan from PSG in January and has hit the ground running with eight goals in 11 games.
Donyell Malen has scored in consecutive games but was not included in the Champions League squad. Fellow January recruit Andres Garcia was also omitted, with Villa allowed a maximum of three new players for the knockout rounds. Leon Bailey is a doubt for Villa, while Ross Barkley is a confirmed absentee.
Aston Villa predicted XI: Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Torres, Digne; Onana, Tielemans; Rogers, Asensio, Rashford; Watkins.
Paris Saint-Germain host Aston Villa in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday 9th April 2025. Kick-off at the Parc des Princes is 20:00 BST.
