As Newcastle United fans – The only fact we can be sure of | OneFootball

Newcastle United have been linked with every player and his cat since the end of last season but numerous times they have missed out on these perceived targets.

That is, if they ever were targets at all, or just thoughts to fill newspaper pages.

The only fact that we can be sure of, is that we need more troops to cope with the additional workload and travel involved with the Champions League fixtures next season.

Eddie Howe was saying before the end of last season he wanted any business done early, which clearly has not happened.

Again, whether this is due to the owners, the board, the sporting director, or the club just not being an attractive option for elite players, only those on the inside of the club can answer that.

I have followed Newcastle United since the mid sixties and have seen too many managers to mention, that have been in charge in that time.

However, in my opinion, Eddie Howe is as good as any of them, and as that list includes Sir Bobby, that is praise indeed.

The value he has added is incredible, with the Isak valuation increase being a perfect example.

With a new season just around the corner, hopefully things will now develop quickly and the panic amongst fans will disappear.
