Midfielder Joe White has joined Leyton Orient on loan.

An official Newcastle United announcement (see below) on Tuesday revealing the news.

The club saying he will be at the League One side for the entirety of the 2025/26 season.

Newcastle United official announcement – 29 July 2025:

‘Newcastle United midfielder Joe White has signed for League One side Leyton Orient on loan for the 2025/26 season.

The 22-year-old spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at MK Dons, featuring 34 times in League Two, registering six goals and two assists.

White joined United’s Academy in 2016 and progressed through the youth ranks via loan spells with Hartlepool United, Exeter City, Crewe Alexandra and MK Dons. He made his first-team debut for the Magpies in a 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth in February 2024.

He will now link up with Richie Wellens’ side as they aim to better their sixth-place finish from the 2024/25 League One season, which saw the O’s reach the play-off final before narrowly missing out on promotion after a 1-0 defeat to Charlton Athletic at Wembley.
