AS Monaco agree personal terms with Georgian sensation Georges Mikautadze | OneFootball

According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, AS Monaco have reached a verbal agreement with FC Metz forward Georges Mikautadze (23).

Mikautadze is currently lighting up the Euros in Germany. The Georgia international is currently the top scorer in the competition following the conclusion of the group stages with three goals. However, his club future remains unclear. His move back to FC Metz from Ajax was made permanent just before the end of the season, however, with Les Grenats dropping down to Ligue 2, there is no question of him remaining at the club beyond the summer.

Speaking pre-Euro 2024, Mikautadze confirmed that he would be remaining in Ligue 1, amid interest from Monaco, but also Olympique de Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais and RC Lens. It is the Principality club that are currently closest to wrapping up a deal, as per Romano.

The Italian journalist understands that Les Monégasques have reached a verbal agreement with Mikautadze, whilst a proposal has also been sent to Metz in order to settle on a fee and conclude a deal.
