Now they have shifted their attention to Rico Lewis. Gaughan reports that Manchester City values Rico Lewis at over £30 million. Furthermore, it is also reported that City could be open to selling Rico Lewis this summer.

Alex Crook has also reported for TalkSport that Nottingham Forest are willing to double Rico Lewis’ wages in a bid to sign the England international. Furthermore, Crook reports that Nottingham Forest have opened talks with Manchester City over a potential deal for Lewis. Lastly, Crook adds that Rico Lewis is considering Nottingham Forest’s proposal.

Manchester City need to sell players to trim the size of their squad, but selling Rico Lewis would be a surprise.

It isn’t surprising to see a club like Nottingham Forest interested in such a talented young player like Rico Lewis. The England international would be a quality addition to their squad. Lewis has proven to be a good player on his day and a reliable member of Pep Guardiola’s squad. The potential is there for Lewis to develop into a quality player. But Pep Guardiola’s squad is too big and players will leave the club before the transfer window closes. That much is obvious.

It would be a surprise to see Manchester City sell Rico Lewis. Especially considering that he figures to play a prominent role at right-back this season. The right-back position looks to be a position without a clear-cut number one option in the City squad and Lewis could make that role his own.
