Another Barcelona youngster has ‘dazzled’ Hansi Flick in pre-season | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has been left thoroughly impressed by the talents of another of the club’s breakthrough young talents across pre-season to date.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Jofre Torrents as the player in question.

Defender Torrents was for his part one of a host of up-and-coming talents to have been called up for senior duty in Catalunya’s capital this summer.

Whilst the majority of those drafted in by Flick and his staff were subsequently sent back to reserve and youth team duty, though, Torrents was one of a small group to remain with the Blaugrana’s star-studded squad.

The left-back was taken on the pre-season tour of Asia, and thoroughly impressed when afforded time on the pitch.

To the point that Barca’s headmaster was left with a new appreciation for Torrents’ talents heading into the new season.

As per a report from Sport, the 18-year-old ‘dazzled’ Flick over recent weeks, with the German therefore ready to call upon Torrents if left short at left-back over the months ahead.
