Manchester United are set to host Crystal Palace at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Red Devils will aim to continue their positive run after winning three back-to-back games.

The Eagles have lost only once over the last seven games and will look to pile misery on the hosts.

The BBC pundit Chris Sutton has tipped the visitors to take a point at Old Trafford.

He wrote in his column for BBC Sport: “I was wrong when I said Manchester United would lose at Fulham last week, which a few people happily reminded me about on social media.

“It was not exactly a convincing win, but maybe things will click for them here – I have my doubts though.

“Crystal Palace lost at home to Brentford on Sunday, which was a bit of a surprise because they have been so solid recently.

“The Eagles won at Old Trafford last season, but this game has got a draw written all over it.

“Sutton’s prediction: 1-1”

Man United must build on recent results

Consistency has been a big issue for the Red Devils for the last few years now. They enjoyed a perfect week, securing victories in all three matches.

To add to their success, they also celebrated back-to-back clean sheets against Fulham and FCSB.

Manager Ruben Amorim has gained a deeper understanding of his squad and has made tactical adjustments to reflect that.

One of his key decisions was to position Kobbie Mainoo in the left number 10 role during the 2-0 victory over FCSB.

Amorim aimed to give the United academy star more freedom to express himself on the pitch.

Mainoo repaid his manager’s trust by providing the assist for the opener and scoring the second goal of the evening.

The teenager may well retain his role against the Eagles this weekend.

A win over Crystal Palace would push them closer to securing 10th position in the league table.
