Wilfried Singo opts to stay at AS Monaco | OneFootball

Wilfried Singo (24) is one of many AS Monaco players linked with a departure from the Principality club this summer. The Ivory Coast international arrived at Monaco two years ago and has featured prominently, carving out a starting space at centre-back. However, Monaco are a club that sells in order to rejuvenate their squad and so the club were not entirely closed to an exit this summer, despite his impressive performances.

However, according to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Singo has now made the choice to remain at Monaco for the upcoming season. The defender is happy at the Principality club and wants to once again take part in the club’s UEFA Champions League campaign.

Prior to his decision to remain at the club, Galatasaray had shown interest in acquiring his services, whilst Sunderland has also been linked with a move earlier in the transfer window. His short-term future, however, lies at the Stade Louis II.
