“We’re all laughing” – Popular pundit admits Chelsea project is proving him wrong | OneFootball

One popular football pundit has admitted that the Chelsea project he was laughing at 2 years ago might be proving him wrong.

It wasn’t just him. Many of us were saying the same thing and had the same concerns, especially us Chelsea fans.

The way were were operating was unheard of. Chelsea signing loads of young players and throwing them altogether was just crazy. To be honest, we have to really wait until the end of this season to see if it is all really paying off when we see where they are at then, but they have certainly been superb lately from the end of the season to now and looks super strong going into the new season.

Not only have loads of players came and gone, but managers have as well. Some people will still feel a bit uncomfortable with it all but right now, they are showing that actually their ideas and their project is finally working.

On YouTube this week, former Premier League goalkeeper turned popular pundit Ben Foster said on Chelsea:

“I’m buzzing to see Chelsea this year, because the way they’ve done it is completely mad, right? Some of the players have been able to sell in the last month or so for crazy money.

“Even a couple years ago, we’re all laughing and going, why are you spending so much money on these young players. In fairness, they’re selling them for just as much as what they’re buying them for. So he’s doing well so far, but the way that they did the Club World Cup, I’m thinking maybe they might have just turned a corner.”
