Two Barcelona starlets registered as first-team players | OneFootball

Two of the most highly-regarded young talents at La Liga giants Barcelona have officially been registered as first-team players for next season.

As much was announced by Barca themselves across the club’s social media platforms on Thursday.

The players in question come in the form of Lamine Yamal, and Pau Cubarsí.

Both wide-man Lamine and defender Cubarsí are of course fresh off the most remarkable of breakout seasons in Catalunya’s capital in 2023/24.

By the campaign’s close, both were considered undisputed senior starters, under the watch of ex-manager Xavi.

And this is not expected to change with Hansi Flick at the helm, with Lamine, in particular, now widely considered as world football’s very best young talent.

On Thursday, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of the efforts of both players being rewarded.

As per a statement across Barcelona’s website and social media accounts:

‘Pau Cubarsí and Lamine Yamal are now official first team squad members. Previously registered with the U19s and Barça Atlètic respectively, the two blaugrana have been full members of the FC Barcelona first team squad since Tuesday.’
