Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold made use of the opportunity to send a message of encouragement the way of young teammate Arda Güler in the early hours of Monday.

This, of course, comes after the Turk played a starring role for Los Blancos on Sunday evening.

Xabi Alonso’s troops marked their return to action at the Club World Cup yesterday, locking horns with Mexican outfit Pachuca in a group stage clash.

When all was said and done, Real emerged on the right side of a 3-1 result, to take their place atop the Group H table.

The aforementioned Güler for his part featured from the off in the clash, the 20-year-old’s first start under the watch of new manager Xabi Alonso.

And Güler went on to make his presence firmly felt, notching Los Merengues’ 2nd goal of the evening just shy of the interval.

Post-match, messages of praise, in turn, soon came flooding in for the Turkish talent.

And as alluded to above, adding his name to this list early on Monday was none other than teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold.
