A figure is not only forged on the field, and we learned that from you, Pascual. Today we remember Pascual "Pato" Gómez, an institutional figure dedicated to club communications who became a Guadalajara icon thanks to his dedication, passion, and heart painted red and white. He was the only club figure to witness the Rebaño Sagrado's first 11 league titles, capturing each stage with joy and a great love for the club.
From a very young age, after arriving in Guadalajara from Colima, he identified deeply with the club's colors. He began his career in soccer as a photographer for various media outlets, where his talent and professionalism led him to become part of the Rebaño Sgrado, to which he dedicated 35 years of work and dedication.
Beyond his professionalism, Pascual also distinguished himself for his human qualities. His presence conveyed confidence and respect, values he always defended with pride, thus leaving a profound legacy within the club.
Few people can boast of having accompanied the Rojiblanca history in such an endearing way, portraying moments and stories in the press that today live on in the memory of millions of fans.
On this day, as we remember Pascual "Pato" Gómez, we share three interesting facts about his life as a Rojiblanco:
1. He witnessed the first 11 league titles, playing an active role in the club during most of them.2. He served as the team's institutional photographer and chronicler. 3. He was the younger brother of Jaime "Tubo" Gómez, the legendary Chivas goalkeeper, although Pascual forged his own legacy within the club.
