Jadon Sancho is yet to seal his long-awaited Manchester United exit, despite being made available for sale since his Chelsea loan ended.
Remarkably, Chelsea even went as far as paying a £5 million penalty to send the forward back to Manchester and bypass the £25m buy obligation included in the loan agreement.
Sancho has since garnered some interest – though nowhere near as much as he’d have hoped, and likely not from the suitors he envisioned, either.

Indeed, the 25-year-old has been linked with the likes of Fenerbahce, Juventus and Napoli. However, the latter’s Sporting Director brazenly spoke out to announce the club would not be pursuing Sancho on the wages he was demanding.
Turin has looked the most likely destination for him in recent weeks, so much so that United are even said to be considering paying him a £4.3m severance package to get him off the books once and for all. A permanent sale is crucial this summer, given that his contract will have expired this time next year.
According to Sky Sports Italy reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, the Manchester City graduate has been brought up in conversations by Inter Milan, although any deal hinges on whether they can sign first-choice target Ademola Lookman.
Inter, like United, are floundering to reinforce their squad in the aftermath of a truly calamitous campaign.
The San Siro outfit finished as runners-up in the league, Champions League and slumped to a 4-1 semi-final defeat in the Coppa Italia at the hands of arch-rivals AC Milan. Taking a punt on a player like Sancho, however, could do more damage than good in the long run, especially when considering the salary he’ll be expecting.
