RB Leipzig sign striker Rômulo

RB Leipzig have strengthened their attack with the signing of Brazilian forward Rômulo. The 23-year-old has joined from Turkish top-flight side Göztepe and has put pen to paper on a deal valid until June 2030. He will wear the number 40 shirt this season.

A product of Maringá FC’s academy in Brazil, Rômulo made a name for himself at a young age, finishing as the top goalscorer in the U17 Campeonato Paranaense. After a spell at Athletico Paranaense, he moved to Türkiye in January 2024 to join Göztepe. He scored five goals and recorded three assists to help the İzmir-based club win promotion to the Süper Lig.

The 1.93-tall forward impressed with 17 goals and 10 assists in his debut season in the Turkish top flight, a return that has now seen him make the move to Leipzig after a year and a half with Göztepe.
