PSG goalkeeper Sergio Rico in serious condition after horse riding accident

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Sergio Rico is reportedly in a serious condition after he suffered a horse riding accident.
According to Spanish outlet Relevo, the 29-year-old was riding on Sunday morning when a runaway horse collided with his animal and he fell.
He was flown by helicopter to the Virgen del Rocio hospital, where he has been stabilised and is set to undergo further tests.
The Spaniard was part of PSG’s squad on Saturday when they drew 1-1 at Strasbourg to win their 11th Ligue 1 title.
But he returned to his home city after manager Christophe Galtier granted his players the day off.
The forrmer Sevilla star was making a pilgrimage journey to Huelva when the accident happened.
Rico has been serving as the back-up to Gianluigi Donnarumma at PSG.
He has failed to make any appearances this season, with Donnarumma starting every game.
Rico made one senior appearance during the first half of the 2021-22 season for PSG.
The 29-year-old has been on PSG’s books since 2019, but he has made only 24 senior appearances for the club.
The Spain international has the distinction of lifting the Europa League twice with Sevilla, where he clocked up 170 appearances in all competitions between 2014 and 2019.
