Nottingham Forest are keen on signing Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho as they scour the market for a replacement for Anthony Elanga, according to the Sun.
Forest have lost the Sweden international to Newcastle United and are desperate to sign another attacker, with owner Evangelos Marinakis prepared to bankroll a fresh deal for the Red Devils man.
The City Ground club wanted Sancho last season on loan but he joined Chelsea instead, but he remains unwanted by Man United and is available for suitors.
The 25-year-old joined the Old Trafford club from Borussia Dortmund for £73m but around £25m could be enough to sign him, and Forest are ready to take the punt on him.
The Englishman is desperate to rediscover his form after a decent campaign with the Blues last term, and a move to the East Midlands club could appeal to him as they are playing in Europe next season.
Forest could also lose Morgan Gibbs-White to Tottenham Hotspur despite threatening legal action against the North London club, and manager Nuno Espirito Santo could do with a solid replacement.
Sancho is not the answer on paper, but he is desperate to prove himself all over again and the Reds could give him a chance to do so as they prepare to impress again next season.
Man United will be glad to finally see the back of the attacker given his huge wages, and they will hope suitors can come knocking for the likes of Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia too after they were barred from training with the rest of the first-team.
Sancho left the Bundesliga with 50 goals in 137 games but has scored just 12 goals in 89 Premier League appearances since joining the Red Devils, and next season could be the last chance saloon for him as he looks to get his career back on track.
