Everton have been interested in signing Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish since the beginning of the summer transfer window.
However, there are no formal negotiations ongoing between both clubs, according to former Sky Sports journalist and Toffees insider Alan Myers.
A deal could be done as Everton look to bring the England international to the Hill Dickinson Stadium club this summer.
The Athletic reported this morning that the Merseyside club have opened talks with Man City over a potential move to sign Grealish on a season-long loan.
Man City manager Pep Guardiola dropped Grealish from his Club World Cup squad last month as he is surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium club.
The former Aston Villa star is expected to leave temporarily or permanently this summer, and a move to Everton could be perfect for him as he looks to get his career back on track.
The Toffees have added Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to their squad today from Chelsea after earlier deals for Charly Alcaraz, Thierno Barry, Mark Travers and Adam Aznou.
Southampton are playing hardball over a deal for 19-year-old winger Tyler Dibling, and it appears Everton are ready to move on to the Man City star.
Grealish brings plenty of experience and quality to the table and will be desperate to prove himself elsewhere after falling out of favour under Guardiola.
The three-time Premier League title winner has bagged 27 goals and 31 assists in 190 games in the English top-flight,
His ability to retain possession, play through balls and deliver perfect passes would come in handy in the Everton attack if they can sign him.
