Felix Nmecha on the conditions at the TQL Stadium: “The pitch here in Cincinnati was in a very good condition for the last match; there are no excuses on that front. It's going to be hot again, but I think that it will nonetheless be a good game. As we've already played a match here, it will be easier for us mentally to deal with the heat.”

…the team's previous performances at the tournament:“We've had good moments in our matches but were not consistent enough throughout the 90 minutes in both games. I hope that we'll do better against Ulsan. Our positioning is something that must become better and we must do better at keeping the ball within our own ranks so that we give the opposition the run-around.”

…South Korean opponents Ulsan HD: “We know that Ulsan have a lot of energy and are strong on the counter. We have prepared for the opposition tactically through our analysis and must be ready for a tough game.”

…the competition for places in midfield: “We have very many good players in the centre of midfield. We're playing for Borussia Dortmund; it's clear that there is a lot of competition for places. I will always give my best in order to play from the start. But even if I come on as a substitute, I want to go about my business as well as possible and help the team.”

…possible opponents in the last 16: “All that counts for us is focusing on the game against Ulsan. Hopefully we go through as group-winners. Many European teams have already lost their matches; we don't want to be one of them tomorrow.”

Daniel Svensson on the role of the Club World Cup: "We always want to win. We've not just come here to have a good time. The tournament is being taken very seriously, as all other competitions are too.”

…the team's defensive problems in the first two matches: “We need to work on details on that front. Three goals conceded is certainly too many. We must stick together as a team and follow the match plan. Hopefully then it'll be better.”

…his first six months in Dortmund: “I'm focusing on my game, I want to impose my style of play and develop myself. Of course, running is a great strength of my game. The heat makes that slightly more difficult here, but it's alright. Prior to my transfer, it was not easy for me to work out what to expect. I'm generally good at adapting, which made it easier for me in Dortmund. I didn't think I would integrate so well so quickly, but that of course makes me very happy. The team has welcomed me with open arms.”

…the differences compared to football in Sweden and Denmark: “Everything is different. The biggest differences are the individual qualities of the players and the speed of the play. You need to be significantly more alert and make quicker decisions.”
