Olympique de Marseille are hoping to recruit at least one more centre back, if not more this summer as Roberto De Zerbi aims to move back to a back four next season for Les Phocéens return to UEFA Champions League action. According to a report from RMC Sport journalist Florent Germain, Les Olympiens still have West Ham’s Nayef Aguerd (29) and Borussia Dortmund’s Ramy Bensebaïni (30) on their radar to reinforce the backline this summer. RMC Sport also report that Racing Club de Lens defender Facundo Medina (26) is also appreciated by the Marseille hierarchy, but as La Provence indication several days ago Les Olympiens may be hesitant to meet the Sang & Or‘s €20-25m valuation of the Argentinian. Marseille have already added one centre-back to their armoury this summer already, signing Englishman Conrad Jadon Egan-Riley (22) on a free transfer from promoted Premier League side Burnley. The England U21 international joins fellow Englishman Angel Gomes (24) as the Provence club’s two signings so far this transfer window. GFFN | George Boxall
