Manchester United boss claiming that the intention is to win the Premier League title by 2028.
However, Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada isn’t ruling out the possibility of it happening next season (2025/26), or failing that, in 2026/27.
Well, just to let you know, I aim to win the Euro Millions AND marry Jodie Comer by 2028 at the latest, but I won’t rule out them happening before then. Maybe next week even, you can just never tell…
The Manchester United CEO has stated in a new interview: “Can the team win the Premier League title by 2028? Of course….I firmly believe we can do it…Nobody is saying we don’t want to win it until then. We’re setting ourselves a target with a specific time frame to go and aim for.”
What a culture there is inside Old Trafford these days, it must be contagious, the laughable nonsense that Sir Jim Ratcliffe comes out with on a regular basis, spreading to minions such as Berrada.
It was just under a year ago in September 2024, that the Manchester United chief declared to the club’s staff that the intention was to win the Premier League by 2028 in ‘Project 150’, winning it within 150 years of when Newton Heath was founded.
Yes, that went really well, Man U did almost reach the very extreme of the Premier League table, though hilariously that was the extreme bottom, not top.
Talk about deluded.
The ordinary staff at Manchester United have come to absolutely understand what ‘Project 150’ really means. Sir Jim Ratcliffe announcing another 150 ordinary Man U staff are to lose their jobs every few months, as they are blamed for the position the club find themselves in, rather than Ratcliffe accepting that it is he and the Glazers who should be accountable.

BBC Sport report – 17 June 2025:
Manchester United chief executive Omar Berrada is sticking with his aim of marking the club’s 150th anniversary in 2028 by winning the men’s and women’s league titles.
Berrada first outlined ‘Project 150’ to staff in September 2024.
Man U were founded as Newton Heath in 1878 and Berrada wants to mark the club’s 150-year milestone in three years’ time with a return to the summit of the English game.
Given the men’s team just experienced their worst domestic campaign since the 1973-74 relegation season and the women have to usurp Chelsea’s unbeaten Treble winners, the task is not easy.
But, in an in-depth interview with the United We Stand fanzine, to be published on Wednesday, Berrada says it is better to aim high than have no target at all.
“It’s establishing a series of targets within a timeframe so we can focus our efforts and energy on that goal,” the 47-year-old said.
“Can the team win the Premier League title by 2028? Of course.
“We’ve just finished 15th and it seems an impossible task. But why not aim for it? Why not do everything in our power?
“I firmly believe we can do it,” he said of Man U’s prospects.
“We have two or three summer windows to build a team to start competing to win the Premier League.
