Jack Grealish is expected to fetch a transfer fee north of £50 million from the perspective of Manchester City this summer, as Premier League clubs circle.
The 29-year-old is expected to find a new club to revitalise his international career and get regular game time after making just seven Premier League starts for Manchester City over the course of the 2024/25 campaign.
After failing to play a minute in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace, Grealish was also excluded from the matchday squad for Manchester City’s final Premier League fixture of the campaign against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
It has been a difficult few seasons in Manchester for Grealish, who will not be part of City’s FIFA Club World Cup squad as the forward’s representatives actively search for a new club, with the likes of Tottenham, Newcastle and Everton linked with a move.
Manchester United and Liverpool have ruled out a possible swoop for Grealish, who joined City for a club-record £100 million fee in the summer of 2021 when the Blues activated the former Aston Villa captain’s release clause at Villa Park.
Grealish has admitted to off-field issues negatively impacting his performance since he played a heroic role in Manchester City’s 2022/23 treble-winning campaign, with recurring injuries last term also derailing the England international from unlocking his true potential.
It has largely been one step forward, two steps back for Grealish under Pep Guardiola since 2023 and after his fourth season at the Etihad Stadium, there is a wider acceptance that now is the time for all parties to shake hands and start fresh by moving on.
Manchester City are believed to be preferring a permanent sale but remain open to sanctioning a loan, with Grealish keen to stay in the Premier League and play in the UEFA Champions League to stake a claim in Thomas Tuchel’s 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.
According to the information of talkSPORT’s Ben Jacobs, Tottenham and Everton hold a genuine interest in Grealish, with Manchester City hoping for at least £50 million in the event of any permanent agreement for the player this summer.
From the side of the Merseyside club, it is reported that Everton will only make an approach if Grealish himself shows a willingness to join their club on loan and Manchester City offer to cover some of his £300,000-per-week wages.
Elsewhere in the Premier League, the report indicates that Newcastle United are unlikely to make a move for the Manchester City forward, while his former side Aston Villa are not believed to be actively chasing the player at this stage.
Further afield and it is revealed that there is interest from Saudi Arabia through Al Qadsiah, despite Grealish wanting to stay in Europe, while all of AC Milan, Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and Bayer Leverkusen are other potential destinations.
