Leverkusen close to completing Jarell Quansah signing | OneFootball

Bayer Leverkusen are now close to completing the signing of Jarell Quansah from Liverpool according to reports.

The Reds already signed Florian Wirtz from the Bundesliga side in a deal that cost the Merseyside club over £100 million. Now, Liverpool will see some of that cash again with Quansah close to signing for Erik ten Hag's side.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has given the deal his tired 'here we go' catchphrase with Leverkusen set to pay an initial £30 million for the 22-year-old with the potential of a further £5 million in add-ons.

Quansah is set to sign a five-year deal with Leverkusen while the Premier League winners have added a buy-back clause into the deal.

The Warrington-born player came through the academy at Liverpool and has since played 58 games for the club, scoring three and assisting a further three more.
