Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has dropped a little teaser about Chelsea potentially looking to hijack a big Tottenham move this week.
Chelsea beat Benfica in the first set of knockout rounds in the Club World Cup on Saturday night, but it was far from easy and also, very far from drama!
Enzo Maresca labelled it a joke that the game got suspended for two hours due to sever weather conditions and slammed the tournament location as a result, and he really does have a point here.
And then came a flurry of late goal with Benfica equalising deep into stoppage time through a penalty to send it into extra time. Chelsea then bagged a bunch of goals to go on and win the game before it got to penalties!
Chelsea look like they are about to sell winger Noni Madueke this summer and that could also effect the below story that we are about to read about.
Ben Jacobs has reported that Chelsea could listen to offers over £45m for Madueke this summer and those offers are fully expected to arrive as well – that is clear. I believe he will go, and if he does, Chelsea could replace him with Mohammed Kudus.

Romano has his latest info out on Kudus to Tottenham, and he drops some big Chelsea hints in there as well.
“Tottenham are seriously working for Mohammed Kudus and are speaking to his camp. Chelsea remains interested and is keeping a close eye on the situation with one other club. Let’s see what they decide. Race still open.”
Very interesting indeed, feels like something is happening.
