It took just 68 minutes!

Kylian Mbappé might have been quiet for the opening hour or so of his Real Madrid debut, but you just knew he would mark his big day with a goal, and so he has.

Real were relatively poor in the first half, which was unsurprising given the vast majority of the players are only just back from post-international tournament holidays.

Yet it picked it up after the break, Madrid opening the scoring through Fede Valverde just before the hour.

Mbappé’s moment soon followed, after being picked out in the box by Jude Bellingham, who made a marauding run, which was part of an excellent second-half showing from the England star.

From the penalty spot, the French captain made no mistake to get off the mark for his new club, much to his delight, as well as everyone connected with Los Blancos.

Like his idol Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as the original Ronaldo, Mbappé has grabbed a goal on his debut, and it certainly won’t be the last for Real Madrid’s latest Galáctico.
