Juventus lining up €70 million offer for Viktor Gyokeres | OneFootball

Juventus are preparing to make a €70 million offer for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Swedish international scored 54 goals in 52 games last season. He has earned back-to-back Golden Boot awards and helped Sporting claim consecutive league titles.

Gyokeres fell short to Kylian Mbappe in the race for the Golden Shoe, but has established himself as one of Europe’s hottest marksmen.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have all been linked with Gyokeres, although Sporting’s asking price is a major hurdle.

However, the Portuguese champions may accept closer to €70 million plus add-ons, well below his €100 m release clause.

Gyokeres is believed to feel betrayed by Sporting for reportedly reneging on an informal agreement to facilitate his summer exit.

He reportedly turned down a move to Man United recently and has his sights set on a switch to Arsenal, although they are believed to be prioritising a deal for Benjamin Sesko.

This could pave the way for Juventus, who are now lining up a €70m offer, to sign the in-demand 27-year-old.

Talks between Juventus and Sporting are expected to intensify, and Gyokeres’ growing discontent increases the chances of a deal.

Gyokeres’ strength, finishing and intelligent movement make him an ideal fit for Juventus, who are seeking a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic.

Vlahovic has been linked with a move to AC Milan, where he would reunite with former boss Massimiliano Allegri. Fenerbahce are also interested in the Serbian.
