Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has provided an insight into the current wellbeing of teammate and close friend Trent Alexander-Arnold.
This comes after the summer arrival in Spain’s capital learned of the passing of long-time teammate Diogo Jota.
News which rocked world football to its very core was of course forthcoming this past Thursday.
As much came in the form of confirmation that the aforementioned Jota, as well as brother André Silva, had passed away following a fatal car accident in Spain.
Fans, players and more across the globe were left in a collective state of shock upon the news surfacing, with tributes having since come flooding in for Jota and his family.
During an appearance in front of the media on Saturday, the subject of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s current wellbeing was in turn put to Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham.
Alexander-Arnold spent five years plying his trade alongside Jota at Liverpool, with the last 48 hours having therefore no doubt been hugely challenging for the defender.
Bellingham, in turn, went on to explain:
“How is Trent doing? It’s been very difficult for him. He was teammates with Diogo for five years. As a team we are here to support him. Trent is reflecting, thinking and dealing with this in his own way. We all send our condolences.”
