The Terriers are throwing some serious money at this summer window.

First time as a manager for Lee Grant: it doesn't matter. The Terriers are backing the inexperienced coach to the hills this summer with a number of top additions.

Marcus Harness, Ryan Ledson, Joe Low and Sean Roughan are already through the doors of the John Smiths Stadium; the deals for the latter pair were exclusively reported to be advancing by Football League World.

Town are looking to strengthen even further by going after Galbraith. The Orient midfielder was a standout performer throughout the 2024/25 campaign for Richie Wellens' side, helping them get to the League One play-off final where they lost to Charlton.

Nathan Jones' side have made an attempt to sign the former Manchester United youngster by offering their London rivals £1.3 million for him, as per Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdam. Orient turned it down, with interest from Swansea City also being reported.

Huddersfield make £2.5 million bid for Leyton Orient's Ethan Galbraith

Huddersfield have since supposedly gone and blown that proposal out of the water by offering nearly double what the Addicks did for Galbraith.

According to Alan Nixon, the Terriers have sent a £2.5 million bid to Orient for the 24-year-old midfielder.

Wellens' side will sell the Northern Irishman if Town increase the bid to £3 million, as per Nixon - a figure which he believes Charlton aren't likely to be able to offer.

Huddersfield suffered a disappointing season last time out, finishing 10th in League One following their relegation from the Championship.

They were expected to challenge for promotion back to the top of the EFL tree. After falling short, their owner, Kevin Nagle, is clearly doing all he can to give his team the best chance of returning to the second tier.

Huddersfield are building a team on paper that can dominate League One

With the talent that they have brought in so far, Grant should be able to construct something of a third tier super team next season.

Almost certainly not to the record-breaking levels that last season's champions, Birmingham City, achieved, but certainly one that will be favoured to win the league.

Up-and-coming Crystal Palace goalkeeper Owen Goodman is also set to move to the Yorkshire side soon, choosing them over their third-tier competitors Barnsley and Bolton Wanderers.

FLW exclusively revealed that Huddersfield had joined the race for the 21-year-old following his impressive 24/25 loan spell with AFC Wimbledon.
