An insight into the early impression being made by Thiago Alcântara behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Saturday been forthcoming.

Midfielder Thiago, of course, recently took his talents back to Barcelona, after calling time on his stellar playing career.

As much came with a view to acting as a right-hand man to the incoming Hansi Flick, after the pair enjoyed a fruitful relationship during a shared stint in Germany with Bayern Munich.

Thiago has thus far played his part as something of a link between Flick and his staff, and the Blaugrana’s squad.

Evidently, though, this is not all the 33-year-old has been doing…

As per a report from Relevo’s Alex Pintanel, Thiago has also been a regular contributor in training drills, acting as an ‘extra man’ in Barca’s ranks.

And, safe to say, Hansi Flick’s stars have been left altogether impressed with such efforts…

“He’s still good enough to play short-range football,” it has been noted by a number of players.

Some of the younger Blaugrana stars, in fact, have been left nothing short of ‘bewildered’ with the qualities still boasted by a now-retired player.
