Regarded as one of the most industrious midfielders in the Premier League, Bruno Guimaraes recently spoke to Sky Sports, in which he heaped praise on Jude Bellingham.

When asked who is the best midfielder in the world right now, the Newcastle United star didn’t hesitate naming the Real Madrid superstar, before going on to admit that he is a ‘huge fan’.

What Guimaraes said about Bellingham

“Jude Bellingham is the best midfielder in the world. He’s complete. Physically very strong, he scores goals, defends. A monster. I am a big fan of him,” Guimaraes said.

The words coming from the Newcastle United midfielder are a testament to the reputation Bellingham has built for himself following his move to Real Madrid.

In just two years, the Englishman has established himself as a key difference-maker at Los Blancos and a leader, both on and off the pitch.

Bellingham’s performances were crucial in Real Madrid’s success during the 2024/25 campaign.

The Englishman, though, lacked the same panache last season under Carlo Ancelotti. But he will be hoping for things to improve under the new coach Xabi Alonso.

Unfortunately, though, Bellingham is currently injured owing to surgery. He is expected to return sometime around November, even though his post-surgery rehab is going very well.

Until then, Real Madrid are going to rely heavily on the services of their current creative midfield options, including Arda Guler, Brahim Diaz and even new signing Franco Mastantuono.

As for Bellingham, the Englishman will be hoping to return on a positive note as he looks to re-establish himself as one of the world’s best.
