According to an update from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has already put together a clear plan for the new La Liga season.
His mission is to retain the league title, and to achieve that, he wants his players to set the tone right from the start by playing at an extremely high pace and climbing up the table as quickly as possible.
The manager was not fully satisfied after the opening match against Mallorca. Despite securing three points, Flick was visibly frustrated with the performance.
In the post-match press conference, he made it clear that only maximum effort will be accepted. With Mallorca reduced to nine men in the first half due to two red cards, Flick felt his side eased off instead of pushing harder.
“I didn’t like the game,” he said, pointing out that his players were operating “at 50%” when he expects nothing less than total commitment.
Flick’s detailed plan is centred on gaining early momentum. With rivals like Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid spending close to €400 million combined on strengthening their squads, the fight for the title is tougher than ever.

Both clubs are desperate to dethrone the champions, but Barcelona’s preparation gives them a potential edge.
Unlike their rivals, who had to juggle the demands of the Club World Cup, Barça enjoyed a proper pre-season. Flick believes this will be key in building a fast start that puts pressure on their opponents.
Barcelona have already benefitted from Atletico Madrid’s 2-1 defeat to Espanyol, giving them a +3 advantage over Diego Simeone’s side. Real Madrid’s first test against Osasuna will soon show whether they can match Barça’s early momentum.
In his second year at the club, Flick knows the surprise factor that worked last season is gone.
Now, the challenge is about authority, consistency, and proving that Barcelona can remain the dominant force in Spain.
With reinforcements like Joan Garcia in goal and Marcus Rashford in attack, along with smart squad rotation, Flick is confident his team can maintain intensity across the season.
The goal is to distance themselves from Madrid and Atletico early on and send a statement that Barcelona remain favourites for the crown.
