According to a report from AS, Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is set to return from his summer break this Thursday to kick off pre-season planning.
The German tactician will meet with his staff early in the morning to address several key issues, starting with the overcrowded situation in goal.
With four goalkeepers currently in the first-team setup, Flick wants to bring clarity to the group before pre-season preparations go full swing.
Inaki Pena is expected to be among those told he is not part of Flick’s plans, while a separate conversation with Marc-Andre ter Stegen is likely following the arrival of Joan Garcia.
While sorting out the goalkeeping situation is the top priority, Flick also has several other matters to resolve.
Strengthening the attack remains a major concern after the club’s failure to secure Nico Williams. A decision will also need to be made on whether to make a serious push for Liverpool winger Luis Diaz.

Flick is expected to sit down with sporting director Deco later this week to get a detailed update on the club’s transfer strategy.
This includes ongoing negotiations for potential arrivals and departures, as well as how to manage the current squad during pre-season.
Despite being officially on vacation, Flick has remained deeply involved. He previously met with members of the club’s sporting commission on June 18 to stay updated on Barcelona’s transfer plans.
However, since then, progress has been slow. Aside from Ansu Fati’s confirmed loan move to Monaco, no major moves have been completed.
With time ticking and major decisions pending, Flick’s return marks the beginning of a critical phase in Barça’s preparations for the new season.
All eyes will be on how quickly he can bring order, especially between the posts.
