… his transfer to Frankfurt: “I’m very happy to be here. During our talks, I felt the coach’s trust straight away. We had very positive discussions. Eintracht Frankfurt are a big club with great fans and a beautiful stadium, so it wasn’t difficult for me to decide to come here.”

… talks with Markus Krösche: “I’ve been in touch with Markus for a few years and I’ve always thought about moving here. Obviously, some other clubs were interested but when Eintracht made a concrete offer, I didn’t hesitate.”

… Arthur Theate: “I have to say thank you to Arthur because he played an important role. Before the transfer was completed, we talked a lot about the club, how things work internally, the team and the coach. Apparently, he also spoke to the coach to find out a few things about me. That convinced me all the more.”

… his playing style: “I’m good at linking up with my team-mates, I can receive the ball to feet or run in behind. I’m good in the air and I can hold the ball up. Generally speaking, I’m flexible, regardless of the formation. The important thing is to show my qualities on the pitch. The better every individual plays, the better the team will be. I see myself as a leader and will try to motivate the young players and be there when I’m needed.”

… his career path: “I’ve been effective and successful everywhere I’ve been. Unfortunately I myself don’t know why I’ve had so many transfers up until now. I’ve always tried to be very professional and to leave a positive impression. Over the years, I’ve developed a better view of football and life in general. If anyone needs my support, as an experienced player I’m happy to offer advice.”

… his personal life: “After football, fashion is among my biggest passions. My parents accompanied me to Frankfurt. That’s the first time that’s happened as they normally don’t come until a couple of weeks later. Futsal is part of life in Belgium; it’s something that inspired me a lot. Whenever I go back home I use the time to play futsal with my friends.”

… his aims: “I want to be valuable for the team, score goals, provide assists and win as many matches as possible. If we qualify for Europe again as a result, it would be a good season for us.”
