One the eve of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final between Paris Saint-Germain and Premier League outfit Aston Villa, a clash took place outside a bar in Paris’s 18th district between dissident PSG hooligans and Aston Villa supporters. The fight reportedly took place at the O’Sullivans bar next to the Moulin Rouge, where violent blows were exchanged and stools were thrown between a young group of non-match going PSG hooligans and Villa supporters. In the evening a video was taken from inside the bar, where two groups were clearly fighting in the street outside and exchanging insults. No further information has been reported or released regarding any potential arrests or injuries, according to RMC Sport. On a post on X, the dissident PSG hooligans claimed to be a continuation of the now-extinct Kop of Boulogne, known for far-right and racist tendencies. The Boulogne Boys were disbanded in 2008, leading up to the 2010 banishment of Ultras at PSG following the death of Yann Lorence after in-fighting with fellow group Auteuil in the hours leading up PSG vs Marseille in February 2010.RMC Sport report that five Police units have been mobilised around the French capital ahead of tonight’s fixture at the Parc des Princes. L’Équipe report that around 1000 ticketless Aston Villa supporters are expected in the city. The Paris police deem 150 of these supporters as “risky” by the French police.GFFN | George Boxall
