Kingsley Coman is currently experiencing a difficult season at the German record champions due to ongoing injury problems. According to media reports, the Frenchman is even on Munich’s sales list for next summer. Now Kingsley Coman himself has spoken out about his future and held out the prospect of staying at Bayern.
As recently reported by Sport BILD, Kingsley Coman is on FC Bayern’s cut list for next summer. This report caused some astonishment in the media, not least because the team at Säbener Straße were actually said to be happy with the Frenchman and the 29-year-old repeatedly impressed in big games in particular. However, due to his injury history, Coman’s high salary is a thorn in the side of the Bayern bosses.
The scorer of the winning goal in the 2020 Champions League final has now spoken about his future in an interview with the FCB website and made it clear that he expects to stay in the Bavarian capital. „I came here when I was 19, I was just a boy. Now I’m almost 28. Many of my memories were formed here. The club means a lot to me. I’m very satisfied, happy and also very proud – but it’s not over yet,“ said the French international.
The 29-year-old seems to be particularly keen to win the premier class again with Munich, as he explained: „It’s my greatest experience with Bayern. It was very, very difficult to achieve, but we did it. It will always be in my heart. I want to have that feeling again. We have to give everything we have. It’s not easy, but maybe we’ll do it this year. Not everything is right at the moment, but we still have hope. And with hope, anything is possible.“
The French international is one of the longest-serving players at the German record champions. The winger has been wearing the Bayern shirt since 2015 and, if his statements are to be believed, he will continue to do so in the future.
