The 2025 season is less than two weeks away, and NJ/NY Gotham FC is preparing for the upcoming campaign. The ladies just completed their four games they had scheduled in the preseason, and now are preparing for the NWSL opener.

They will be on the road, opening up the season against Seattle Reign FC. Since the campaign will begin in the middle of the month, Gotham will play just three games. Two will be on the road, and one will be home. This month will be the first time fans can truly see the new players and examine how the team looks after the drastic roster turnover this offseason.

So, let's take a look at Gotham FC's March schedule.

Gotham FC's March 2025 schedule

Saturday, March 15: Gotham FC at Seattle Reign FC

As mentioned, Gotham FC will open up the season on the road when they play against Seattle Reign. Seattle is expected to be more competitive after finishing in 13th place last year. As such, this will be a challenging match to begin the year, especially with the questions about the NJ/NY team's chemistry. The Bats will also see a few former teammates since Lynn Biyendolo, formerly Williams, and Cassie Miller were traded to the Reign. The late fixture will certainly be an opener to watch.

Sunday, March 23: Gotham FC vs Orlando Pride

Thankfully, the ladies do not have to wait long for their home opener. Gotham will welcome the Orlando Pride for the Blue Out game, which will likely be the most difficult fixture of the month. Orlando won the NWSL Shield and NWSL Championship. Fans will remember that the Bats beat the talented team last year at home, forcing their second NWSL loss in 2024. The Starting XI will be different though, since four players from that match are no longer with the squad. Plus, Rose Lavelle will not be available due to her injury. Hence, this will be a major test for Gotham FC.

Friday, March 28: Gotham FC at Houston Dash

The final game of March will take place on the road. The NJ/NY side will head to Texas to take on the Houston Dash. This will be another reunion match since the Bats lost Delanie Sheehan to Houston in free agency and then traded Yazmeen Ryan and Abby Smith to the club. Additionally, the club has been rebuilding significantly since they finished in last place in 2024. Therefore, fans should expect this Dash team to be stronger compared to 2024. Gotham FC cannot underestimate the opposition in any way.
