Bournemouth’s Illia Zabarnyi set to sign 5-year contract with PSG | OneFootball

According to a report from Fabrice Hawkins, Illia Zabarnyi (22) is set to sign a 5-year contract ahead of finalising his move to Paris Saint-Germain from Bournemouth. The Ukrainian international defender arrived in the French capital on Sunday evening to complete the final formalities before being unveiled as the Ligue 1 champions’ second summer signing.

After arriving in Paris, Zabarnyi will now complete his medical. Les Parisiens are set to pay a fee of €63m plus bonuses to secure the services of the Bournemouth centre-back. The 22-year-old is a long-term target for the UEFA Champions League winners after they made an attempt to sign him in the January transfer window.

Replacement secured

With Zabarnyi departing the Vitality Stadium, the Cherries have acted quickly to secure their replacement for the defender. Bournemouth have agreed a deal with Lille to sign Bafodé Diakité (24). The Frenchman has completed a medical in London ahead of a move to the Premier League club.
