As reported earlier today, Bayern Munich have made a fresh move for Athletic Club winger and Barcelona target Nico Williams.

The 22-year-old attacker is a man in demand, with several top clubs across Europe gunning for his signing.

However, Barça appear to have everything sorted, with a six-year contract agreed with Nico and work being done to pay his €62 million release clause.

But Bayern Munich have now launched a new assault to sign Nico as they see the Spanish international as a key target.

According to MARCA, Barcelona remain calm amid Bayern Munich’s latest attempt to hijack the signing of Nico Williams.

Despite growing reports from Germany that the Bavarians are planning a renewed offensive for the Athletic Club winger, Barça are not losing sleep as there is quiet confidence at the club that the 22-year-old wants to play for them.

From Barça’s side, there is no confirmed intel about a formal Bayern move. But they know it is realistic that other clubs are circling, after all, Nico has a huge market. Still, what matters most to them is the player’s own stance.

Bayern reached out to Nico’s camp recently but were met with rejection. The winger has been clear in recent talks with Barça – his priority is to join them, play at the new Spotify Camp Nou, and link up with close friend Lamine Yamal.

That clarity is what gives Barça confidence. As such, they are calm and unfazed despite claims of Bayern’s fresh attempt and are moving forward patiently.
