There will be no shortage of difficult decisions to make for FC Barcelona this summer. So far, the club is yet to make a definitive call that could be labelled as being too difficult to make. However, as time passes, Barcelona will have to face that reality soon enough.

Even right now, there are various decisions that need to be sorted out in the most ideal way possible. For starters, the club is reportedly looking to make a high-value sale this summer, but they will need to carefully assess which player they end up letting go of.

However, perhaps a matter that has created a lot of internal tension at the club needs to be addressed first. That particular matter would be the one concerning German goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and his frustration with the way that the club has handled things recently.

Now, as per Helena Condis, that matter has escalated to the point where the club captain has no intention of forgiving the last three years of his contract and the salary involved. Barcelona, on the other hand, are focused on planning to inform him about their new starting goalkeeper.

As revealed by the journalist, Barcelona are looking to make their new signing Joan Garcia the starting goalkeeper for next season. Having arrived this summer from Espanyol, the investment made on the goalkeeper is a clear indication of trust and backing.

Internal tension continues to persist

Ter Stegen, on the other hand, still remains upset with Barça and is reportedly keen on staying at the club for now. The Catalan giants, on the other hand, hope that a lack of playing time could end up persuading him to change clubs at some point.

Interestingly, both goalkeepers recently crossed paths at the Ciutat Esportiva due to their early return from vacation to train and visit the club’s facilities. As for what happens over the remaining course of the summer, Barcelona might as well buckle up for some internal conflicts and drama.
