The summer transfer window will be long and complicated for FC Barcelona. After all, with limited financial resources, the club does not exactly have the privilege to sign any player that they would ideally want. Unfortunately, that reality has already managed to hurt Barcelona this summer.

Previously, the whole fiasco surrounding Nico Williams definitely seems to have made the club a lot more cautious. After the Athletic Club winger surprisingly renewed his contract, Barça had to switch targets and the club is now studying other left-wingers.

However, while that hunt may continue for a while as per recent reports, another signing might already be on his way. The first arrival this summer was Spanish goalkeeper Joan Garcia, but a second signing might be at the club very soon.

According to Mundo Deportivo, 19-year-old Swedish winger Roony Bardghji will arrive in Barcelona today to become the club’s latest signing. The former FC Copenhagen player is set to become the club’s second signing this summer, and will be joining the team in action soon.

While the first part of his medical has already been completed, just the final assessments and tests now remain. After that, the club already has a plan in mind for him that will see him take part in the preseason tour and alternate between the first team and reserve team next season.

A big opportunity during the preseason tour

However, if he manages to impress Hansi Flick during the preseason tour, he could become a regular first team player at Barcelona. While it is unlikely that he will guarantee himself a starting role, it could be possible for him to play a rotation-based role next season.

Having secured his signing for around €2 million, Bardghji is seen as a strategic signing from Barcelona. By investing early, the club has managed to avoid some kind of future bidding war and his young age opens up the possibility for his market value to significantly increase over the next few years.
