Barcelona send scouts to monitor Bologna’s Jhon Lucumi | OneFootball

Bologna have had a historic season, winning the Coppa Italia, their first piece of silverware in 51 seasons. However, this might mean that for the second season in a row, they could lose important players. At the end of last season, in which they qualified for the Champions League, they lost manager Thiago Motta as well as Riccardo Calafiori and Joshua Zirkzee. This year it could well be Jhon Lucumi. As per Nico Schira on X, Barcelona have been sending scouts to monitor the player.Lucumi, the Colombian centre back has been a revelation at the back for Bologna. He has been at the club for 3 years now and has made quite an impression across a number of European clubs. He is seen as the leader of the backline with astute understanding of the game and great physical prowess. Barca are looking at a central defender with Ronald Araujo widely expected to leave and Andreas Christensen’s future up in the air. Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi have made a great pairing but with the former not getting any younger, they are in the hunt for a new younger defender.
