Barcelona have put together a personalised recovery plan for Marc Bernal, Gerard Martin, and Dani Rodriguez, according to an update from Mundo Deportivo.
While the rest of the squad gears up for preseason training, these three players will focus on finishing their recovery during the first few weeks.
It must be noted that the team completed their medical and physical tests on Sunday and will begin pitch training on Monday.
Hansi Flick’s side is preparing for an intense summer, which includes four friendlies, three matches on the Asian tour, and the traditional Joan Gamper Trophy before the La Liga opener against Mallorca on August 16.
Bernal, who suffered a serious left knee injury last year, is now in the final phase of his recovery. The young midfielder has shown full commitment by returning to training early after his holidays, determined to be ready as soon as possible.
Barcelona expect him to gradually rejoin the group sessions and even travel with the squad on the upcoming Asian tour if everything goes well.

Martin is also nearing a return. The defender dislocated the base of the fifth metacarpal in his right hand during the U-21 European Championship just a month ago.
His injury forced him to stop all physical activity during the holidays due to needles and stitches that prevented him from training or sweating, to avoid infection.
Now that he has removed the stitches, Martin will start working on the sidelines and progressively move towards full training with the team.
As for Rodriguez, he is still a bit further away from a return. The promising youth player dislocated his right shoulder during his debut match against Valladolid.
Doctors gave him a three-month recovery timeline, and he is now close to completing two months. Dani will continue working on the sidelines, following a special plan designed by the club’s medical staff.
