The board at La Liga giants Barcelona have made known their demands for young attacker Jan Virgili.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Friday provided an update on the situation.
The name of winger Virgili has of course emerged as a prominent one in the transfer chatter surrounding Barcelona over recent days.
This comes amid the understanding that, after a stellar showing with Spain at the U19 European Championships this summer, the starlet has emerged as a leading transfer target on the part of RCD Mallorca.
Not only that, but Virgili, facing up to a season in Spain’s 4th tier following Barca Atlètic’s shock relegation, is said to have made clear his readiness to make the move to Son Moix.
The two clubs, in turn, have kicked into gear negotiations over the terms of a potential transfer.
And as alluded to above, late this week, an insight into the demands laid out by those in the Camp Nou boardroom has been forthcoming.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘Barça have told Andy Kohlberg’s team that they would sell Jan Virgili for an approximate figure of about four million euros, keeping 50% of the player’s rights.’
Mallorca have since made clear that they are not willing to reach such a figure, ready to offer only €2 million for half of the player’s rights.
Talks are nevertheless expected to continue between the parties over the days ahead.
