This option is none other than the Portuguese fullback João Cancelo, who perfectly fits the criteria of reliability and versatility set by the German coach.

The fullback has already spent a season on loan at the Blaugrana club and left a good impression, both on the field and in the locker room, during that time. Flick, aware of his strengths, also values his addition, while the player himself is also open to a return to the Catalan side, which will help them in their negotiations with Al-Hilal, Cancelo’s current team.

Barcelona looking to make a significant offer
